Cloud Administrators Remote or Onsite

Under general direction of the infrastructure and security manager, the Cloud Administrator designs, builds, supports and monitors components of CLIENT public and private cloud infrastructure. The position works as part of a global team to support CLIENT services. The Cloud Administrator continuously works to automate and industrialize technology and business functions. The ideal candidate automates and documents their job functions such that they can take on more challenging technological and business problems on a regular basis.
Position Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Required

  • 3 yrs of experience with Linux system administration
  • 3 years of experience building and supporting enterprise-grade cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or OpenStack * Experience with configuration management tools such as SaltStack, Puppet, or Chef

Preferred

  • 3 years of experience designing, building, and supporting OpenStack environments
  • Active OpenStack Administrator certification (COA)
  • Active Red Hat Enterprise certification
  • Experience with Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration Tools
  • Experience with Containers
  • Prior or current information security certification.
  • Scripting or programming skills

Duties and Responsibilities

  • General Linux system administration
  • Train peers in cloud technology administration
  • Monitor the technology landscape for changes that affect CLIENT’s use of cloud technology
  • Experiment with new tools, techniques and procedures that add value or competitive advantage to CLIENT business services
  • Assist the information security team to identify and remediate security issues
  • Continuous incremental improvement in the confidentiality, availability and integrity of CLIENT operations

This position is part of a required on-call rotation.
